Mark J. Conklin, MD
Mark J. Conklin, MD is board certified in orthopedic surgery, specializing in adult and pediatric foot and ankle care. Dr. Conklin received his medical degree from the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine. He then completed his internship and residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. His fellowship in foot and ankle surgery was completed at the Balance Foot and Ankle Center in Long Beach, California and UCLA/Harbor Medical Center under the prestigious Ronald W. Smith, MD and William S. Stryker, MD.
Dr. Conklin is a leader in the field of orthopedics and has held and continues to hold leadership roles in the orthopedic community. He was previously the chairman of Lutheran Hospital Orthopedic Department, President of the Woodridge Orthopedic Group, and President of the Panorama Investment Management board. Today he is the President of the Golden Ridge Surgery Center, President of the Rocky Mountain Foot and Ankle Society and president elect of the Panorama Orthopedic and Spine Center. He is a member of the Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS), The American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and a member of the American Medical Association (AMA).
When he is not working, Dr Conklin enjoys golfing, skiing and biking.
Melodie R. Garrobo, CASC
Melodie has been with Golden Ridge Surgery Center for 9 years. Prior to Golden Ridge she served as a facility administrator for 2 other Colorado ambulatory surgery centers for 7 years. She is a past President of the Colorado Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (CASCA) and has testified before various Board and legislative committees on a variety of health care policy matters. Melodie oversees operational matters at the facility including patient satisfaction, licensure, quality, compliance, and financial management. Melodie is a fifth generation Colorado Native who remains active in State and local healthcare policy affairs. In the spirit of maintaining an orthopedically healthy lifestyle, Melodie is an avid runner and Yoga enthusiast.
Mark Laurnen, M.D, CASC
Dr. Laurnen is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and anesthesia provider to Golden Ridge Surgery Center. He is the chairperson for the Clinical Review Committee, and sits on the Patient Care Committee.
Susan Brozovich, RN, MSN
Director of Nursing
Susan Brozovich RN MSN has been an RN since 1978. She has extensive leadership experience background in Colorado, having served in similar administrative director roles for facilities along the Colorado front range. She is an experienced Perioperative RN with over 25 years’ experience in the OR. Susan Susan is a fourth generation Colorado native and an active skier, hiker, gardener and cook.
Margene Morris has been with Golden Ridge for over 6 years, serving most of that period in a leadership role as Materials Manager. She has over twenty years of supply chain experience, with positions previously held in both acute care and medical supply distribution. Margene serves on a committee with other members from our sister facilities, whose purpose is to improve supply chain processes and reduce cost within the local medical community.
Business Office Manager
Susan Pavon oversees all day-to-day operations as Business Office Manager for Golden Ridge Surgery Center to ensure the billing runs smoothly. With over 19 years in healthcare, she has extensive specialty experience in Neurology, Dermatology and Occupational Therapy, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, including ICD-10 and CPT coding, revenue cycle management, regulatory affairs, HIPAA, and accounting. Susan also has an extensive expert background in Medicare matters and commercial contracting. Susan greatly enjoys assisting patients with their questions, concerns and feedback.
Certified Medical Interpreter
We are pleased to offer full time interpreter services for our Spanish speaking patients and guests. Dolly is also a trained phlebotomist and EMT and has served our facility in a variety of administrative and patient care roles. She is the driving force behind our annual diversity fair in which we celebrate all the ethnicities and nationalities that represent our healthcare village. This is a weeklong event full of great food, education, training, and stewardship. As part of our company culture, we embrace and welcome a very community and workforce, and we feel this adds value to the quality care we provide each and every patient.
